Welcome to the Help Desk, Multimedia Publishing, and Work Experience page!
High school students enrolled in Help Desk play an important role in supporting the technology that exists on the Walton Campus. Help Desk students work with Walton-Verona Help Desk staff members to ensure that faculty and staff have access to the the wealth of instructional technology available to them. Students are under the direction of Ms. Bebe Thomas and Mr. Jody Johnson.
Multimedia Publishing students also play an important role at Walton-Verona. Students enrolled in this class work to produce professional looking publications that can be utilized for promoting and communicating the district's initiatives and programs. This work involves production of the quarterly newsletter, The Mirror, in addition to other print based programs and informational video needed by support staff. Multimedia Publishing students are under the direction of Ms. Megan Lewis and Mr. Jody Johnson.
Work Experience is a program for juniors and seniors at Walton-Verona High School. Students must complete an application during the scheduling process at the end of their sophomore or junior year. Those accepted will be required to obtain a placement at a worksite that is able to provide experiences related to a career interest of the student. Work Experience students leave campus during school hours and report to their worksite where they are evaluated by a supervisor. Please contact either Ms. Megan Lewis or Mr. Jody Johnson for more information about this course offering.
