On Saturday, the boys and girls track teams competed at the State meet at the University of Louisville. The girls were led by unreal performances by senior Madison P who finished as state runner-up in the 800 and 3rd in the 400, senior Heidi Z who finished 5th in discus, junior Shelby M who finished 6th in the triple jump, and 8th grader Madison L who was 6th in the 3200. The girls 4x800 relay team of Delaney W, Blance O, madison L and Danielle D also made it to the podium, finishing in 8th place.
The boys were led by the outstanding efforts of Jon J and the 4x800, 4x200, and 4x400 relay teams. Jon finished 6th overall in the 400 and was joined by Kallen S, Owen D and Colin C in the 4x200, who ran a new school record 1:34:19 to take 6th. Jon also was a part of the 3rd place 4x400 team as well as Kallen S, Colin S, and Dustin H. Additionally, the boys 4x800 relay team of Colin S, nate A, Nick T, and Matt H made it to the podium finishing in 6th.
A great job and great season to all! Athletes need to return uniforms to Coach A sometime this week and pick up your pictures. |

- On June 17th at 5:30 in the commons, you can get your athletic physical for the 2013-14 school year finished for $20. Flyers are in the high school and middle school office if you are interested.

Friday, 5/24, 8 pm, is our end of year party. We will have Minute to Win It games with fabulous prizes and a bonfire with smores and other great food. Please come and say goodbye to our seniors. Party starts at 8 pm at the Palmers' property on Porter Rd. See Mrs. Schutzman if you need directions. |

The elementary is holding a used cell phone drive from now until the end of the year. We will recycle these for money for school projects such as school equipment/supply purchase.
So if you have an old cell phone laying around, send it in to the elementary school. Charger is not necessary but if you want to get rid of both parts, that is fine. We will accept anything. Newer phones recycle for more than older ones. |
